Who it works for

  • Physical (wheelchair users and slow walkers): Yes, with notes (lifts, accessible pathways and adapted toilets at the Apartheid Museum; step-free access in many areas of Constitution Hill; we confirm each stop in Soweto)
  • Visual (blind and low vision): With support (guides describe the exhibits and tell the stories)
  • Hearing (Deaf and hard of hearing): With support (exhibits are largely visual and written; we arrange a sign language interpreter for guided tours)
  • Hidden (autism, fatigue, chronic illness): With planning (the museums are emotionally intense, so we keep one big visit a day, with quiet time after)
