Tailor-made for you. This itinerary is a starting point. Change the dates, pace or hotels, add or drop days, or combine it with another South Africa trip or a Kenya safari. Price on request, with a written, tailored quote within 24 hours.

June to November, with the most whales usually in September and October. Outside whale season, Hermanus is still a calm seaside break.

Good to know

  • The Cliff Path is almost 12 km long. We keep to the wheelchair-friendly walkway to Gearing’s Point and the Old Harbour.
  • Boat-based whale watching is possible for travellers who can transfer with help; we check each boat’s boarding arrangements first.
  • Easy to add to a Cape Town stay or to the start of a Garden Route trip.
