Good to know

  • Kruger is a malaria area; the rest of this route is malaria-free. Speak to your doctor or a travel clinic about prevention.
  • Addo Rest Camp has a cottage and a chalet for guests with mobility challenges (the chalet has a shower and bath), and Matyholweni Rest Camp has an accessible cottage. The bird hide, the underground hide and the floodlit waterhole viewpoint at the main camp are suitable for wheelchair users, and one loop of the Discovery Trail suits wheelchair users and visually impaired visitors.
  • Table Mountain has a universal access walkway on the summit, but not every path is accessible; the cableway closes in high wind.
  • Flights inside South Africa: we request wheelchair assistance with the airline for every flight.
  • Any section can be dropped or extended: see our shorter South Africa trips.
