Where you stay

  • Nights 1–4 · a Cape Town hotel with a measured accessible room
  • Night 5 · Skukuza Rest Camp · adapted bungalow
  • Nights 6–7 · Lower Sabie Rest Camp · adapted bungalow or safari tent

As listed or similar, subject to availability and to a measured accessible room.

Best time to go

May–September suits Kruger best (dry season, lower malaria risk), while Cape Town is wetter then. September–October and April–May are a good balance for both.

Good to know

  • Several Kruger rest camps, including Skukuza and Lower Sabie, have bungalows or safari tents adapted for wheelchair users, but layouts vary from unit to unit. We ask for photos and measurements before booking.
  • In 2018 SANParks introduced activity vehicles with a lift for game drives. They are not available at every camp, so where needed we arrange a private adapted vehicle with a South African partner.
  • Kruger is a malaria area: speak to your doctor or a travel clinic about prevention.
  • Table Mountain: Staff help at the ticket office and at the lifts. Not every part of the summit is accessible: some paths are steep, uneven or stepped.
  • Flights inside South Africa: we request wheelchair assistance with the airline for every flight.

Access details checked in October 2026 against: Table Mountain Aerial Cableway: wheelchair access · ATTA: Table Mountain universal access walkway (April 2026) · Cape Town Tourism: wheelchair-friendly attractions · Rolling Inspiration: Boulders Beach · SANParks: Kruger for people with disabilities · Kruger Park guide for disabled travellers · Tourism Update: Kruger activity vehicles with lifts. Facilities change, so we reconfirm every detail for your dates before booking.
